Oaklawn

This 1835 home built by Absalom Thompson became famous when Gen. John Bell Hood spent the night there on Nov. 29, 1864. It was also the home of George Jones and Tammy Wynette for a short while. Oaklawn is currently owned by Ron Shuff of Shuff's Music in Franklin, Tennessee and Spring Hill Music in Spring Hill, Tennessee. At present there are no plans for the future other than preservation. However, Oaklawn is available for Weddings, Parties, and Conferences.
